Our flagship coffee is from the Bugisu Co-operatives on Mount Elgon, Uganda. Over the launch year we are bringing on five more African origins — Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Congo. Every coffee is single-origin and traceable to a specific farm or co-operative. Read more on how we source.
No. We chose not to pursue those certifications because they represent institutional trust — an audit signing off on practice. Our trust is personal: we visit every origin partner, agree on prices that reflect the actual work, and publish the partner name, region, and elevation on every bag. That is a stronger — and more accountable — form of transparency than a logo.
Every bag has the roast date printed on it. Subscription orders are roasted within 48 hours of shipping. One-time orders ship within 72 hours of the roast. If you are drinking pour-over or espresso, the coffee is at its best from about a week after the roast date through about six weeks after.
At launch, we sell 250 g (NOK 249) and 500 g (NOK 498) retail bags. 1 kg bags are available to wholesale customers only. See the wholesale page for details.
Choose your weight, your grind, and your frequency. We roast and ship on your schedule. Pause, skip, or cancel from your account any time — no phone calls, no email chains. Full details on the subscription page.
Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and the rest of the EU at launch. UK and other European countries are on the roadmap for early Year 2. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout — no surprises. Details on our shipping page.
Yes. Under Norwegian consumer law (angrerett) you have 14 days from delivery to change your mind. If the coffee is unopened, we'll refund it in full. If it's opened and there's a fault, get in touch and we will make it right. See our returns policy for the specifics.
Not yet. Kahawa Nzuri began as a roastery and online retailer. A physical café is on the roadmap for Year 2 – 3.
Yes — that is exactly what our wholesale program is for. Start with a sample kit and a real person will get in touch within 24 hours.
Coffee tourism to our Uganda partners is planned for Year 5. In the meantime, follow the journal — every origin trip is documented there in detail.
